 Spectacular wooded canyons with headwater lakes break off the White Cloud’s northern edge into the Salmon River. These include Big and Little Casino, Rough Creek, Warm Springs and Slate Creek. Also, here are seldom-visited drainages with secret ponds, lush springs and thick forests. Places like Treon, Elk, Mill, Holman, French and Sullivan Creeks. Landmarks include Lookout Mountain, 9,954’; O’Calkens Lakes and Bighorn Basin, and Potaman Peak, 9,376’.
