North Fork Big Wood River Trail Work Day
(Boulder Mountains)

We
have worked on this trail, which is close to Ketchum, many times.
The
problems: one section crosses a steep, eroded bank above the river, and a
snow slide may linger over the trail into July. (The SNRA plans a
reroute.)
Volunteers use grubbers to dig the trail out from gravel, sand,
rock and snow.
This route is popular with families.
Volunteers have also
cleared deadfall, removed rocks aside, and grubbed stinging nettles.
