North Fork Lake Trailhead Work Day
(Boulder Mountains)

Under the direction of the Lost River Ranger District, volunteers cut a new path from this unmarked trailhead (once an area where logs were decked during the North Fork timber sale) to access the main North Fork Lake trail.

Also, logs were placed across a stream crossing.

The Forest Service has since added some signs along the trail. There are also blazes on trees impossible to miss (12 inches high and 6 inches wide).

Note: we did not cut these giant blazes which are so unnecessarily large, they may kill the tree.
