2008 - 2009 BOULDER-WHITE CLOUD WILDERNESS - Idaho Representative Mike Simpson's CIEDRA bill would designate over 319,000 acres of Wilderness. In May 2008, two controversial SNRA land transfers were dropped from the bill. Read CIEDRA H.R. 222 and see maps. Learn more about CIEDRA.

2008 - 2009 WOLVES NEED YOUR HELP! - In October 2008, gray wolves were once again listed under the Endangered Species Act. But, wolves still are not really safe or protected. By year's-end in 2008, 94 Idaho wolves had been killed in government control actions, including wolves in the local Galena and Basin Butte Packs. Learn more and look at Idaho wolf photos.

2008 IDAHO COBALT PROJECT - BWCC joined with Earthworks and appealed the Salmon-Challis National Forest's decision on the new Idaho Cobalt Project west of Salmon, Idaho. Our appeal was recently settled. Read more and look at photos.
